The Southwest Pennsylvania STEM Network was formally established in April of 2008. The six-county region convenes educators, workforce/economic development organizations, businesses and government with a common interest in addressing the need for an increased focus on education and training opportunities in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The Southwest Network is supported through the partnership of six regional colleges and universities and several world-class research and technology centers.
