Career exploration is a concept that is becoming critical sooner and sooner in the educational careers of today's students.  Career days and job shadowing are very simple ways for schools to provide career exploration opportunities to students.  If your school does not already provide a career day, talk to your principal about starting one.  Finding representatives will not be difficult.  Parents are a great starting point and community business leaders are often more than willing to present their industry to young students.  The same thing applies to job shadowing. Even starting simple with allowing students to accompany a parent to work for a day, will give students a first-hand look at a workplace environment.
